Damballah blessed me greatly my 2008/09  visit to Haiti, when I was given the opportunity to kanzo in this Vodou House.  It was completely unexpected, but also something that I desired greatly would happen.

I am Manbo Asogwe Syel Syel Mon M A Te M’pa Ne Moun Kommande.
My first kanzo in 2004 into one Vodou House wasn’t the best experience, and I came away quite disenchanted and unsettled.  I returned to New Zealand and put it all behind me.

I was pleased that I had taken the asson and made a formal commitment to the Lwa.  This, I decided was all that mattered, I continued on with the Hounfor, our Services and various Vodou adventures.

Returning to Haiti in 2008 and arriving there for  the Days of the Dead brought experiences that have forever changed my life and my Vodou.

Criminel played a hand in my meeting Msr. Lundi and the rest is now Hounfor history.  I came away from Haiti in 2009 awed and delighted with the experiences I had, and, most importantly …
A strong sense of purpose.              “Ayibobo!”

I am proud that the Hounfor du Marche now has strong ties with Haitian Vodou.  With this joining together a totally different Vodou is being made available for those of us who sevi Lwa far from Haiti.

Returning to Haiti in 2010, Criminel again has greatly influenced  my Vodou.  He has made himself clearly known and has aided my path with Danthor and the children.  At this point in time, I have no idea exactly what is going to happen next on my Vodou journey, but I anticipate it with eagerness and joy.

Honour and respect to you, your families and your Ancestors.
